Carl Zeiss Meditec's technological expertise in the diagnosis and monitoring of retinal disease became apparent with revolutionary instruments such as the Stratus OCT™ and Cirrus OCT systems. With Visante OCT, this same expertise is being applied to high-resolution, non-contact optical coherence tomography customized for the anterior segment.

The Visante OCT system provides highly detailed images of the anterior chamber, including dependable angle information, without the need for ocular anesthesia or a messy, time-consuming water bath.

New LASIK information
Visante OCT can image, measure and document both corneal flap thickness and residual stromal thickness immediately following LASIK surgery. A unique flap tool enables quick measurements of flap and residual stromal thickness. And as a completely non-contact system, the stability and safety of LASIK flaps will not be compromised.

Corneal and Anterior Segment Imaging
The anterior segment can be evaluated and measured pre- and postoperatively in the analysis mode. Practical tools enable planning and measurement of anterior segment ocular structures, including anterior chamber depth (ACD), AC angles and AC diameter. Visante OCT provides high-resolution corneal images and documentation to support the evaluation of ocular health.

Pachymetry and Relative Pachymetry
Rapid acquisition during the pachymetry scan ensures an accurate and repeatable pachymetry map result for application in refractive and glaucoma care. The relative pachymetry analysis indicates the percent deviation of pachymetry from typical corneal thickness, which may better visualize localized thinning.
